S1 wasn't feeling appreciated on Father's Day by his wife, V1, with whom he has children in common. S1 then threw a full Bud Light beer can at V1, which hit her in the stomach.

S1 fled into nearby woods prior to LEO arrival and could not be located. A pass-on 707 was completed for Felony Battery since S1 has a prior battery conviction.

V1 does not want to press charges, but, since the case is felony DV, it will be evaluated by the State Attorney’s Office.

***Suspicious Incident***

O1 alleges that he came out of his home in New Smyrna Beach and an unknown person hit him in the head. The next thing O1 remembers is being in the Halifax River with something biting him on the leg.

O1, who was supposedly duct taped at the wrists, was able to somehow dolphin kick over to the shore and get out of the water.Then, O1 walked down a few roads before encountering R1 on the Main Street bridge, who called law enforcement.

O1 was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach, for treatment of minor injuries.On- call CID responded to take over the investigation.

T/L- 06/12 @ 0237 hours. V2 waited two days to tell the VSO that someone attempted to enter into his unlocked vehicles. V2 added that the suspect did enter his neighbor's (V1) vehicle across the street.

Further investigation revealed that V1 actually apprehended the suspect, but for some reason, did not call LEOs. The only thing taken was a phone charging cord from V1's vehicle.
