How do I reset my Honeywell gas detector? ›

In order to reset a GasAlert Extreme, you just have to take off the battery and leave like that for 24 hours and then put the battery back again, that will reset the unit.

The display will indicate the first configuration mode menu 'SEt CAL'. Put the magnet over the 'ü' switch again and move to enter the Calibration menu. The display will show the current gas reading, and the gas canister icon flashes. When the zero gas reading is stable use 'ü' to confirm zero calibration.

Error codes 4006 & 4004 can be caused by the sensors being misaligned after being installed, internal filters replaced, or the instrument being opened and closed.

How do Disposable Single Gas Detectors Work? The disposable single gas monitors use one single sensor to detect levels of one single gas type where the users can set the alarm set points to their gas detection needs.

Make sure your thermostat is on. Press and hold the “Set” button on the left side of the user interface. While holding down the “Set” button, use a paper clip or another slender object to press the recessed reset button located on the side of the unit to the right of the user interface.

If your pilot light goes out or is not burning enough due to clogged gas lines or a dirty head, it will give off fumes that will cause the detector to go off. You should check this first if your leak detector goes off.

This can be done manually with a regulator, calibration gas, calibration cap and tubing. Or it can be done automatically with the use of a calibration docking station, such as the Galaxy GX2.

Check the operating temperature range to see if the weather is causing the problem. For fixed gas detectors, check the power cable for damage. Test the amount of voltage going into the device. If there's no voltage, inspect the fuse connectors going in and out of the marshaling cabinet.

Error Code 4006 means that the sensor module is not responding on the board. Remove the battery from the AreaRAE Pro/Plus. Remove the gas plate and verify that all of the sensor are fully installed and in the correct location. Check the ribbon cable to the sensor board it may have come loose.

4006 - No response From Sensor Module - The instrument sensor module may be damaged and is not working properly, or the main PCB Assembly may be defective. The instrument will not work. Solution: Return the instrument for service. The main PCB Assembly will require replacement.

What is error code 4003? ›

Reset the sensor by pressing and holding the Connect button on the sensor until the orange light appears (after about 15 seconds). Then try adding the sensor to the thermostat again.
