Hoop fans love nothing more than watching a ball player who hustles & leaves it all on the court and ballers love playing with teammates who play with grit & heart.
What is a Hustle Player?You have never to take a play off, give full effort, dive on the floor, board up, take charges, get stops on D, sprint, make plays in transition, do the little things, play aggressively, step up to the challenge, positively affect your team, never give up, play inspired ball, recover quickly, be resilient, stay positive, being versatile, accepting your role, being a leader, have a great work ethic, commitment to the team, play with high NRG, play relentless defense, giving 100% in practice, being mentally tough, create TO’s, get deflections, take away passing angles, by closing out hard but under control, playing physically, scarping it up, getting jump balls, holding box outs, helping the helper, and many, many others!
Grace Bialas (2028) |5’5 G| Team Wariwck 14U Dickmeyer/Tea Area
WHY?
Grace is another pure athlete with the quickest feet and hands. She is strong, full of energy, and has the determination to disrupt. Bialas has such a great feel for the game that it comes easy for her to give her all. Her presence on the court brings comfort to her coach because she leads the offense and the defense for Team Warwick . Bialas is a leader and you know she will be giving her 110% at all times!
Jayla DeCou (2028) |5’7 G| Team Warwick 14U Dickmeyer/Lennox
WHY?
Jayla is a thrill to watch compete in not only basketball but track. The girl is an all-out athlete and when on the court she is all over the place, playing 110%, and disrupting offenses left and right. Watching DeCou play on the defensive side of the ball is thrilling; just when you think someone has a breakaway lay-up, here comes Jayla with the steal or block. The effort she leaves on the court goes unmatched by any of the other 9 players. Oftentimes, her coach tells the rest of the team to match Jayla’s intensity, if they all play just 1/2 as hard as her, the other team will fold! Her efforts and energy are contagious and the team feeds off of Jayla. She is truly the energizer bunny of Team Warwick !
Josie Biteler (2028) |5’9 G| Team Warwick 14U Nesheim/Sioux Falls Washington
WHY?
She is a very good/gritty defender. Josie anticipates well, she is always around the ball, forces turnovers, deflects passes, makes the hustle play, and causes havoc for the opposing team.
Kamryn Nesheim (2028) |5’4 G| Team Warwick 14U Nesheim/Clark-Willow Lake
WHY?
She is a bit undersized but is a tenacious on-the-ball defender! Kamryn is a very good rebounder. She uses her speed and quickness to get steals and loose balls to give Team Warwick extra possessions.
Karlie Bosma Karlie Bosma 5'5" | PG Lennox | 2027 State SD (2027) |5’5 G| Team Warwick 15U Entringer/Lennox
WHY?
Bosma is tough as nails! She consistently crashes the glass with reckless abandon. Karlie communicates everything and she plays harder than anyone. Her energy and effort seep into all of her teammates, she is a careless individual, and a serious playmaker.
Libby Kranz (2027) |5’10 F| Team Warwick 14U Nesheim/Lennox
WHY?
Kranz is a tremendous defender! She is one of the best defenders that coach Nesheim has seen in girl’s basketball in a long time.Libby is always in the right spot and completely understands the defensive rotations.Kranz does all the little things that help teams win, rebounding, loose balls, etc. et cetera. She makes everyone around her become a better player.
Nealie Sanford (2027) |5’9 G/F| Team Warwick 15U Entringer/Sioux Falls Christian
WHY?
She is an overly active defensive player who gets her hands on a ton of passes. Nealie gives up her body for the betterment of the team and she always helps her teammates off the court. Sanford is a versatile defender, she can guard bigger than her size. DAWG!
Oaklee Hadler Oaklee Hadler 5'5" | SG Sioux Falls Christian | 2027 State SD (2027) |5’5 G| Team Warwick 15U Entringer/Sioux Falls Christian
WHY?
Hadler is the best on-ball defender on her squad. Coach Entringer calls her a PITBULL. Oaklee can lock up the top offensive player on every team. She gives no excuses when things go badly for her. Hadler can completely control the energy of the team with her defensive INTENSITY.
